That´s how it started...

I took this photograph in Kafountine, Senegal, because I loved the light, the surroundings, and especially this mother with her daughter. When I asked permission to take their picture, the woman asked for a present in return, so I gave her one of my postcards that were travelling with me at the time. That was back in 2008, and it took me 5 years to realize that this would make a perfect start of a series of pictures showing my artwork on it´s way around the world.

Split, Croatia

This picture reminds me that summer isn´t over everywhere, and makes me smell the salty air of the mediterranean on Croatia´s beautiful coast line. It´s been quite a while since I have been there myself, and I´m grateful that my artwork went there for me ;-)
Thank you Kevin for this marvelous picture!

Börsenplatz, Frankfurt, Germany

Frankfurt, although not one of the biggest cities in Germany, is the financial center and home of the German Stock Exchange. So which place in Frankfurt could be better for a souvenir picture than the the sculpture of the bull and bear symbolizing the ups and downs of the stock market. Apparently, I´m not the only one who has had that thought… actually you have to queue to take a picture there.

Gokarna, Karnataka, India

Shivaratri, a religious holiday is celebrated in the city of Gokarna, India with two huge, beautifully decorated wagons going through the town. Before they start however, a lot of people go in and out of the wagons, and generally there is a lot of stuff going on that the uninitiated tourist doesn´t quite understand... like the throwing of small bananas onto the "roof" of the wagon... apparently it´s good luck, if you hit the very top...
